Gil

Gil draws on a long personal history in the social services field enabling him to oversee and ensure a high level of service at all times. Gil has worked extensively within secure residential, semi-independent care, and emergency placements. In addition to his Dipsw Gil gained at the University of Liverpool in 1997, Gil has achieved relevant qualifications and experience in Counselling, therapeutic interventions is a qualified probation officer and a practice teacher.

Gil achieved his consolidation of specialist Social Work Practice following attending John Moores university in 2011 and then again in 2013 to achieve his certificate of professional development. With community supervision experience as well as extensive experience within the court in respect of child protection matters, Gil is practiced in assessing and summarising evidence in addition to making recommendations and is able to draw on particular experience in identifying risk to children and young people.

Gil is practiced and competent in supervising and overseeing a service that requires the highest levels of accuracy and competence. Gil adds to his managerial social work experience, 23 years of post-qualifying work as a social worker and is qualified in PAMS assessments, age assessments, and form F assessments. Gil has held the role of Social worker, senior social worker, advanced practitioner, consultant social worker, deputy manager, team leader, and director.

Nicola

Nicola began her career working in social service residential before gaining the post of deputy residential manager of a therapeutic residential children’s home. Nicola demonstrated a level of professionalism that bespeaks her achievements in working within the social care industry.

She has extensive experience working with children with a variety of needs including Learning difficulties and E.B.D. and/or Autistic spectrum disorders. Nicola has held the post of deputy head of children services of a special educational residential  school where she was responsible for managing a team of 20 staff. Nicolas’s extensive experience and qualifications will ensure a broader picture in relation to our holistic service provision.

Nicola is a qualified webster Stratton practitioner and has held the post of deputy manager working for a family support service. Nicola’s wide-ranging career history has required her to have a working knowledge of relevant legislation and she has demonstrated throughout her career that she has been able not only to understand legislation but to support others to be able to translate legislation into good and effective practice.

Jason

Before involvement with the NFSS he worked with Northamptonshire Police in a number of roles, he was the Force lead for Prevent and Channel Programme. He has worked with vulnerable individuals that were showing the signs of being radicalised. He also created the Prevent Schools Programme, in which he takes a former extremist and a Sociologist into schools to talk about the dangers of hate crime and the Radicalisation.

Jason has been involved in a number of other programmes that highlight the issues that young people face, such as :

His experience gives him a unique insight into the dangers of Knife Crime, Drugs and Gang Association, he has a real impact on the young learners.

Jason also works as a mentor, working with young people that have been involved in knife crime and gang violence.

In 2012 Jason received the High Sheriff’s Award for his work with the hard to reach communities.
